    Hi Kai
    I agree about the weight advantage of the 582. I've flown P&M's SSDR 582 Quik and it really does benefit from the lower weight of the 582 (versus my own 912 Quik).

    What would I do with the...

    Let's hope that "they" update their website information at the same time as they update their frequency.

    Correct me if I've got this wrong but;
    North Weald (as an example) used to be 123.525 and is going to be 123.530. So that's actually the same frequency in the new format.
    So - if I dial in the old...

    I read Stanley Hooker's autobiog "Not much of an Engineer" over Xmas. No body could call it Ripping Yarns but if you want to learn about Gas Turbine engines this is a very good place to start.

    Looking for somewhere to go?

    I just flew in to Old Warden; No landing fee. The museum (Shuttleworth Collection) ticket was only 10.50 and the restaurant is now extended so less crowded than it used to be.

    Well worth a trip....

    Henry, may I respecfully suggest that that is because you read your NOTAMs in graphic form.

    Dave, calling it a check flight is confusing. That's the name we give to the permit revalidation flight.

    I didn't realise that PPL holder didn't have an equivalent flight.
