    Hi John
I also have a S6 with wing fold which lives in a shipping container.
I've always blagged a helping hand when rigging and derigging.
Its a big wing area to be caught by the wind if trying...

    LED Landing Lights ?

    Hi Alan,

I fitted a similar LED to my old X'Air. It's great with a bright and fairly wide angle.
Only draws 1A and so much more durable than a filament bulb. I used to fly with it on all the...

    Instrument Wiring - Terminations

    Hi John
Maplin do something that'll help. It's really a 2mm hard disk power connector however the crimps fit the gauge pins a treat.
There are two types, the one with pins and the other with...

    Thanks Bill n Will,
It's the later sprung steel job Bill.
PS, how are you getting on with the clear coat cover? I'm contemplating for my new wing skins.
    Cheers

  7. S6-ES main gear leg a little bowed - ok to straighten?

    Hi
My left main leg has a very slight bend causing the left wing tip to be 6" lower than the right one.
Is it ok to remove the leg and straighten without causing a weekness?

    Thanks

    Phil

    Hi Sean,
it seems that X'Air can't guarentee which tensile strength they're going to ship either 8.8 or 10.8 They say that both are well up to the job though.
I have also been told that 12.9...

Door opening in flight Rans S6

And I've now flown with both doors up again on a warm evening and it was brilliant.
Rather windy but keeping the speed low it was fantastic.
When I get the plane in the air again I'll be leaving...
  14. Wing skins - and how to not tear them.

Just a wee word of warning.

I took a wing skin off to sow in a repair patch after a bit of hanger rash.

Sliding back on the wing sking I pulled on the edging strip instead of screwing to the...

    Hi Graham,
sorry for my miss understanding. I wouldn't recommend 303. I've heard bad reports about it however Nikwax is a product that P&M amongst others recomment for Dacron material. You need to...

    S6 Rudder question

    Hi Andre
I don't have this on mine either and to be honest with the rudder deflection needed to keep the ball centered with the Jab engine I wouldn't want it either.
For the rudder stops surely the...
