Hi, Just wondering if anyone has tried one of these tiny Trikes. Having flown various types in the past, I can not help wondering how they handle turbulence. Even with the new wing improvements, they...
Hi Anyone know if Flylight has been affected by the fire, I can not get through via email or phone!

Thanks Paul, I have now bought one which is in pretty good shape for it's age. Full history and luckily it was still with it's original owner / builder!
It will need new skins at some stage in the...
Thanks all, yes I agree with everything said. I am finding that, either the engine hours are questionable, the skins are on their last legs or both! The current owners do not take into account that...
Hi, I can probably guess the answer to this, how can I work out if I am getting value for money?
The Skyrangers', Rans S6's and Sherwood ranger's etc. are all around 40k new but are they really...
Ok that's my weekend sorted.
Well if all else fails I can always resort to Wally's yanking method.
Because after all, everyone enjoys a good Yank.

Thanks gents, I have tried choke and throttle combinations but still no joy. I have found if I take the plugs out clean and replace them it does sometimes start better. I think I will check it over...
Thanks Wally, yes it had crossed my mind that there would be a mod of some sort required.
GPL does seem the only route available, i can not understand why we don't have a UK supplier though.
After nearly dislocating my back from trying to start my bugger of a 503 engine, I decided an electric starter was the answer.
I was surprised to find, firstly there doesn't seem to be a UK...
After waiting since the 7.7.16 for the laa to let me do a check flight, I think this is excellent news.
How about we do our own permit as well, then they don't even have any pesky emails to...
[Do they email the permit, as does the LAA? 24hr turnaround if you request it.]
4 weeks and still waiting for something from the LAA  not even a acknowledgement of the paperwork...
It looks very much like the new Challenger to me http://www.quadcitychallenger.com/lightsport_$closeup-qcu_999.html as Ginge said they are tried and tested and are available on an LAA permit or SSDR....
Brilliant, pity there is not more of this kind of dedication and organization in our clubs now!
Thanks Ginge, just what I wanted
Cheers
Hi I have been told that a 2 blade pusher prop will out perform a 3 blade on low HP engines! (Rotax 503 50HP) Can anyone confirm / explain this?
After mucking around with various bits of pipe and pumps I decided to buy this for £13. I wish Id seen it sooner worth every penny!...
There is a Minimax group on yahoo, John Riley's the man to speak to. I am sure you can find posts from him on here.
Good luck
Hi Peter, I am currently rebuilding my Quad city challenger if you want to see what they can do watch this video;

I agree with the comments about the thruster I completed a conversion on Dave Smith's T300 last year. I must admit I crapped myself when Dave first demonstrated the landing technique, :freaked: a...
Thanks all that's brilliant I'll start calling tomorrow. I am also going to copy and paste for future reference
cheers
Yes I have looked into the LAA coaching scheme Ginge but its trying to find a coach with a taildragger who's willing to use it for training. I have now found one possibility, club near York has an...
