    gps choice

A friend of mine (no, really) is trying to decide between the Garmin 296, the Bendix King AV80 R and the Airbox.

My previous inclination would be to go 296 as I have one and they are good, BUT...
  4. Opinions on the Foxbat and C42s please.

The c42 is real hoot to fly. I defy anyone to fly a c42 and NOT land with a smile!

    VHF radio

I tried towing an HF wire behind my Blade for a while, but it ended up as a short wire with a big coil at the end! Loaded okay but didn't radiate very well. And then the engine stopped!!!

Oh and a Chinook almost ran me down ten years ago.

All I need now is a hit from...

    Newbie freakout...

Tim, before I took up flexi flying I scoured the AAIB reports and stats and came to the (then) surprising conclusion that microlight flying is the safest form of all GA flying. Since I make my...

    Wing Mirrors

I think, Phil, all spits had mirrors at the time. The Malcolm canopied versions had them externally above the top of the fixed cockpit from, ahead of the pilot whereas the later tear-drop canopies...

  18. The ongoing saga of the sale of my Blade

John, ref the deposit, nah. Couldnt be bothered. It didnt cost me to sort it out for him and it forced me to wash the wing.

    Odd do though.

  19. The ongoing saga of the sale of my Blade

So, a few months ago a chap from Grimsby phones up and asks for pictures, which he gets, together with all the gory detail of my not-half-bad very low time Blade 462. He says he's keen and comes...
