    I'm a bit late commenting.

As a returnee watching the newly refurbished Forum I appreciate its renaissance but am concerned at the high cost to all for so very few contributors - though there may...

    Airspace around Farnborough

I and several 'Southern Flyers' in Sussex have just sent off their e-mailed comments. It's not difficult just explain the bits you don't like.

e.g. Loss of the N/S gap near Bagshot mast between...

True Speed & permissable RPM ?

    Excellent logic Paul, thanks,

Went to the LAA AGM Saturday last, murky down south with some dodgy flying to abort for an hour or so till sufficient gaps allowed Sussex to Northampton to be done...

    Rans stats?

FWIW the four stroke Road 912 cruises at 5,000 or 5,2000 rpm.
The 447 in the S4 ran at 5,600 to 5,800 'all day' !

So for the '582' it sounds about right.

True Speed & permissable RPM ?

    Thanks Roger,

I see that the EuroFox ~= the Eurostar performance at a decent cruise, ditto fuel consumption.
And you've kindly confirmed they're GPS cross checked and not a poor static location,...

True Speed & permissable RPM ?

Having spent a few days in France, Blois & beyond in my Rans S6-116 the economical cruise of approx 95 mph is slow for long steps. Three hours was a long time against a mild headwind from Chauvigny...

    Skydrive dual egt gauge wiring

    Paul,

It shouldn't hurt as the worst is no reading or perhaps reversed readings insofar as the needles want to go down as temperatures rise.

Black is earth so might not matter anyway. (White...

    Skydrive dual egt gauge wiring

    Paul,

It's also sensible to know which needle reacts to which input pin numbers !

3 & 4 pins feed the Right hand side of the gauge. A bit arsy tarsy, but that means the rt. hand side scale...

I will let you have a precise answer tomorrow.

It will detail which pins operate which needle too, which took effort to sort only last month.

The hottest day of the year

The only 'present' we give PPO visitors is a free landing.
We do usually show our presence, however with a windsock, though that's not a lot of use for wind strength as it happens, Jackrell's Farm...
  19. Fuel pressure control with restricted jet?

    Exhaust Gas Temps

    Nick,

BTW. Your post at 10.24 this morning says the probes are 400 mm from the piston ?

Shurely shome mistake ? As that's roughly 16 inches.
