It would be nice to think that some effort might be made to replace 503/462 units for which spares can no longer be had.

It might be interesting for the Tech Office + volunteers to look at an...

Some airfields pay to use 129.825 as an allocated frequency.

25 Mhz radios are legal up until 31st Dec, after that they can only be used in limited circumstances.

    If it's the microlight...
  4. GK 4 stroke snowmobile engine, no gearbox

Kev and Denis were discussing this on FB a couple of days ago,, and already it's lost in the disorganisation.

Looks like a 650 cc einge with about 58 bhp.

    MF Foundation donations

ITYM microlighting as it currently stands is not for the young. Recreational aviation, as in HG, PG, paramotoring, powered HG and paratrikes are.

Microlighting can be for the young if more use is...

Whilst we can argue about the politics of donation and whether it is deserved or not, it only seems fair to point out that Rick was instrumental in making the donations to the Foundation and...

    quantum GTR

To go faster with a smaller wing you'd need a more powerful engine.

There's no Quantum trike certified with more than an 80 hp engine.

So, a lot of work when there is already a Super Quantum,...

The expression "double entendre" very bizarrely, does not exist in French. ;-)

The book is of great interest. So I've just ordered it from your web site, thanks, and await it with great interest....
  14. Airzone interface and new 8.33 radios.

No. Only a very late firmware version of the A6 Mk1 can, but here are very few of them, most sold in France as A6 FR. Sell the A3 outside Europe, and get the 8.33 Icom or Yaesu.

    BMAA on line shop down?

I've tried to buy a permit this morning, and it look like the shopping cart is always empty, regardless of what you try and add to it.

Anyone else seen the same or do I have a local problem I need...
  16. Changes to the Self Declaration Medical system - 25 August 2016

Agree 100%. Just a shame we need the mandatory bit.

I don't think it's all the fault of the BMAA. However, I sometimes think that there are windows of opportunity which may be missed like the...
  17. Changes to the Self Declaration Medical system - 25 August 2016

On the day that it is signed off, it will be safe. On the other 364 days of the year, it is not signed off. What makes it safe then?

Some of it already is, on the basis that excessive regulation...

  19. Changes to the Self Declaration Medical system - 25 August 2016

I beg to differ, as someone who has been involved with airworthiness that isn't mandatory, but is adhered to by about 95% of those flying, this stuff also exists where we do not have mandatory...
  20. Changes to the Self Declaration Medical system - 25 August 2016

If the bodge is done between annual inspections no one will be saved. There is no permit inspection every time a microlight flies.

What you need to ask yourself is what the difference in accident...
  21. Changes to the Self Declaration Medical system - 25 August 2016

Was this a permit aircraft? Because if it was, the permit system and BS did not prevent this accident.

DSDR does not mean that everyone has to fix their own aircraft, or that manufacturer...
