    Trim indicator

I need to take out the Trim indicator from out of the panel,I need to check wiring going into
The unit. If I move the wires at back of the unit the LED light go up to the correct level
and then reverts back to the bottom.
This does suggest that there is a loose contact.Any suggestion from the forum would be a appreciated
    Thanks

    Trim indicator

This sounds to me more like a corrosion problem in the wires (or possibly the connectors). I'm not familiar with the actual connectors to the trim indicator, but in general: if the wires seem sound when you flex them a few times, then just cleaning the connectors to the display unit might do the trick. If they are covered with a grey-ish deposit, then suspect some kind of contamination (salt a common culprit).

In all cases, a clean metal-to-metal contact is the goal. If still no joy, it's possible that there's a [similar] problem inside the display unit.
