    121.5 MHz D&D guide

There's an excellent guide to D&D in this month's AOPA magazine.

Why not do a practice PAN next time you are up? D&D enjoy the practice too.

Ah, been so long that you've forgotten the terminology? No problem, it's all here, print out and take up with you next time:

Why do they say Pan x 3, when it should be Pan Pan x 3?

Those are the instructions for a practice call, so you would say "Practice Pan" three times rather than "Pan Pan"

If the urgency call is Pan Pan x 3, you'd think they'd ask for Practice Pan Pan x 3. I guess the contraction eliminates any possibility of confusion with the real thing.
