You would have to sell a fair number of airframes to make it back, as the current owner has probably found out.

Yes, thought I would ask who you all thought it was rather than sign the non-disclosure thingy!

Well, it looks very much like TLAC. I hope that I'm wrong but two Sherwood Rangers sold according to Wikipedia and no Scouts according to G-INFO. Both are nice aircraft but the buyers don't seem to be there.
Surprising if you look at the people who bought the Escapade.

"Very profitable". That'll be a lie then!

There are lots of reasons other than financial for the owner(s) of a business to seek to sell it. It doesn't necessarily mean it is failing in any way.

I've just checked the sale particulars for the business in question (which I've also received) and the reason for sale stated is that the directors are at retirement age and wish to have time to pursue other interests. Anybody with a serious interest would be able to see from the accounts how viable it is financially.

Name a current microlight business with factory approval that is "very profitable"?!

I thought it was Medway but actually the sizes don't make sense as their building is about 40m x 20m

Whereas "Office and workshop of 257sqft, storeroom 177 sq ft and assembly area 1,600 sq ft." works out as a square area of 14m x 14m. And about a quarter of the size of the Medway factory.

To give an idea if we assume for the purposes of simplicity that those areas are all square then we get

    office / workshop 16 ft x 16 ft,
    store room 13ft x 13 ft
    assembly area 40 ft x 40 ft
