HKS Overhaul

Hi,

I have an AX 2000 with the HKS engine.

Has anyone any experience of having the HKS overhauled recently?

I am aware that Green sky Adventures in Florida are the only agents now but was hoping that someone in the UK would be able to do the work required for overhaul.

Alternatively, has anyone recently removed the HKS and replaced with the 582?

I think that used to be Conair, who are unfortunatly no longer in the buisness. It may be worth giving Rod at Volair a ring as he services both 2 & 4 stroke engine and is not tied to Rotax.

Rod is one of the good guys and will not try to con you, also as the AX 3 & 2000 guy will be able to advise should you decide on a swap.

Robin Kraike at P&M has done a 582 to HKS conversion. He kept the 582 style analogue instruments.

Not sure how the swap the other way might go as some HKS engined AX2000s had a Flydat lookalike...
