How far / how high can you fly in a microlight?

DISTANCE - Northern Ireland to St Omer France non-stop September 2014.

A pair of Irish pilots flew all the way there, VFR, three countries and two sea crossings non-stop, in a Pipistrelle microlight.

When I asked them about it the two pilots "Thought nothing of it"

Flying in the Annapurnas, from Pokhara in Nepal. The pointy mountain is Machhapuchhare which is about 24000ft. There is a story going around that two paraglider pilots flew over it a couple of weeks back, with oxygen.

In 1994 Bernard DOtreppe flew his single seat albatross 1 microlight form Frejus in the South of France non stop to Teeside - just shy of 1400km.... And it was done in a legal microlight weighed before takeoff. for the FAI record ratification. Unlikley the Pipistrelle would manage the same...!

I was informed that a robin powered microlight flew at 18000 ft adjacent to Everest by the pilot
