  • KISS 400 NOSE WHEEL BRAKE

I am about to check the front wheel of a Kiss 400, when the brake is applied no matter how carefully, the brake grabs the drum. I seem to recall this has happened on another Kiss, before I strip clean adjust and replace has any other Kiss behaved in this manner, if so what was the solution?

I also put this under 'technical' and have replies there (to save duplication).

If you have not flown it for a while or if your hanger is a bit damp you will probably find that there is high spots of rust in the drum take the wheel off and rub the inside of the drum with a good wet and dry paper and all will be sorted. The only other time I have seen drums grabbing is when they are badly adjusted a strip clean and re adjust and all will be fine
