  • Best method of removing the rear suspension legs.

I need to remove both rear suspension legs on my trike,

Any tips from anybody how has done this....after I have removed them I need to be able to fold the trike as its to tall to fit in my garage,

I can suspend the trike from a beam in my garden during the strip down.

    Nick,

Are you able to do it the other way round? I couldn't get my blade in through the garage door, but I could do it with the Trike partially folded. I was able to fold the trike, wheel it into the garage, then stand it up normally. I would expect it to be easier to get the trike into the garage, then remove the legs by supporting the trike on a box if you really need to?

    Regards

    Steve

Hi Steve...my garage roof is quite low...now if I could remove the legs with the frame folded that would be another matter???

I suppose with the legs off it wants to fall over.

I shortened the rear legs on a quikR with an angle grinder and made it fit in a trailer a couple of weeks ago,

Mind you, It was being made into the new simulator at the time Nick.

All sorted now thanks guys....came off easier than I thought...needed a second pair of hands to keep the monopole upright and the rear keel on a trolly and milk crate to be able to move it about,

Made up a spring compressor to get the legs apart...all checked and back together...thank for your advice guys and to Roger Patrick at P+M,

Easy when you see it all in bits and how everything fits.
