  • weighing a rans ?

Hi all . I have a rans s6 with a verner up front . I believe it to be a little nose heavy .& it flies like it is , I want to check the w & b & compare with paperwork . What's the easiest way to do this ? Only ever weighed a kitfox . & get confused with moments & arms etc ? . Is there an easy way ? Can't find anything anywhere to show how it's done ?

Best way is to use an inspector. They have the equipment and the knowledge.

If you are anywhere near Galaxy Microlights at Wing Farm, Mark has a very accurate set of scales and would be able to give you spot on results, many people use bathrooms scales which may be okay but nowhere near perfect.

Have you looked at the weight and balance spreadsheet (Form 28) on the BMAA web site?

The TADS/HADS will specify a datum. Have a look at page 1 of 2 for three axis in that spreadsheet.
