    Hello all,

During a conversation at our field the other day someone mentioned that SSDR planes may have a bit of a problem getting insurance. There is a requirement for third party insurance, but the person who brought up the subject reckoned that the main microlight insurers, wouldn't touch SSDR aircraft as they didn't know what they were insuring. Does anyone know if there is any truth in this?

    Best regards,

    Bob Hood.
XL's forever! Well, one of them anyway. It's all I can afford, not to mention the Raven and the Mini-Max. Oh, and I almost forgot the Spectrum as well :-)

On-Risk were happy to add my SSDR aircraft (www.g-cfdz.com) to my existing microlight policy, on a "one-up, one-down" basis ie I can only fly one at any one time - a not unreasonable restriction !

Better still - there was no additional premium !
