  • CAP1934a: Draft Procedure for Reviewing the Classification of Airspace

CAA are (at last) under instructions from governement to review airspace for whether controlled airspace needs to be expanded or (crucially!) contracted.

[Here is a simply worded consultation document] about how they'll go about that. If you want to comment to the CAA in the hope of influencing the outcome, you've got till mid-September.

    Really no interest?
Has nobody else noticed that it is a CAA internal decision whether or not to carry out a review. I may have misread, but as far as I can tell, they don't even have to give reasons if deciding not to review. No mechanism is given for interested parties' (eg us) opinions on whether a review would be beneficial.

Well I've submitted my response anyway.
