Can I build a microlight from plans or from a kit?

I made a ssdr trike from plans which are obtainable from regis-cottet@orange.fr

The trike is well known in France and well tried for many years.

I used the reinforced Ellipse Fuji 16 wing as I intend soaring rather than flying fast.

Attached is a Photo of the almost finished unit

I note that my posts say has not said much yet.
OK this will change I am sure when I have got this pesky licence training passed.
Also spent a lot of time making the hanger water proof.

Got several mods planned for my SSDR trike at a later date.
1/ A hinged mast to make fitting the wing easier instead of the folding seat frame, this requires dismounting the vertical wheel struts in order to lower the mast - A pain.
2/ The same front wheel assembly as existing but fixed to the chassis and a lighter easy removed front strut. I will keep the hinged seat frame for easy folding of the unit for transportation if required.
          3/ I need a front mudguard.

See previous photo attachments to see what I mean.

For Paul Dewhurst - I am still keeping my flight time current practicing lessons 12 & 13 using the Doodlebug.
