    World air games

Latest news that has not been confirmed is the pilot has undergone surgery and they have yet to do a full assessment of the damage.

The usual guesses as to why it happened, time will tell.

Second plane in the water today when we had an engine failure on one of the trikes which was skilfully put down near the beach.

Trikes up again in the morning with the Brits in a strong position.

We are hoping for a slightly less exciting day

If you haven't heard from other sources it is a clean sweep for team GB with Dave Broom in Gold, Paul Dewhurst in Silver, Rees Keene in Bronze, Mark Fowler in 4th, Rob Keene in sixth and Chris Saysel in 8th. P&M QuikR in top 9 places.

      Fantastic job

Well done all! I hope we get to see some good video of the competition, because the live feed was pathetic.

Lots of really good video on the microlights GB at WAG 2015. Facebook page. We were flying with 2-3 go pros running on each of our trikes. There is lots of exciting flying with amazing backdrops. Great opportunity for BMAA and P&M to run with it for publicity and promotion.

Getting ready for a celebration curry and a few (bloody expensive) beers!

                      Fantastic!

Great news for the sport and Team GB, wonder if we will get any national coverage?

We will soon find out if a certain Council appointment was justified.

It was reported and a short clip shown on BBC 1's Breakfast this morning along with the comment that "microlights started off as hang gliders powered by lawnmower engines"
However, they also said what a fantastic achievement by the GB Team - hear hear!!

Rees gave a small presentation and showed some videos last night at the Severn Valley Microlight Club Christmas party. And Rob was chatting to some of us about some of the techniques they used to fly the course.

There is no doubt at all that all of the British team are great emissaries of microlighting, and I echo Donald's sentiments that this is a great opportunity for the BMAA to capitalise on some good publicity, particularly bearing in mind that the team have some young members who are surely the same demographic we want to draw into microlights.

I even got to try on Rees's medal which is sadly the closest I'm ever likely to get to one.
