  • Break ins at Thorney Island - 2 in one week

(posted on behalf of Daryl Cornelius)
[3]Just when we were relativity pleased that the 'first break in" was mostly fuel and a few bits, on Friday night the thieves came back and stole our GPS's and all my tools collected over a 15 year period, all those flying tools one collects, along side welders, disc cutters etc etc the second break in a week smarts.[/3]

[3]So they have had it away with circa 3000.00 worth of tools GPS etc Worst still we now can't leave helmets or GPS or anything of any value in the barn, for those of us that share these things this is a real bind. We have had the forensic folks down and reported the crimes, but you know that the chances of capture are thin.[/3]

[3]We will now install CCTV etc (Horse - bolted) [/3]

[3]Please can we ask for your help:[/3]

[3]- Please keep an eye on Ebay or at Carboots, you know those flying tools will stand out, wire lock plyers, pressure test kits etc etc [/3]

[3]- Please let us know if your offered cheap GPS etc [/3]

    [3]Tools: [/3]

[3]- Stanley Two Tier Tool box with yellow features [/3]

    [3]- Aware Clarity GPS [/3]

    [3]- Airspace Aware GPS [/3]

    [3]- Garmin Hand Held 196 [/3]

    [3]- Mig Welders [/3]

    [3]- Sun Glasses [/3]

[3]- Pack of unopened screwdrivers [/3]

[3]- Range of odd tools [/3]

    [3]- Tins of Fuel / 6-7 x 20ltrs [/3]

[3]Thank you for your help in trickling down these scumbags, please forward this to other airfields and clubs that you know.[/3]

    [3]Thanks [/3]

    [3]Daryl [/3]
